Skechers Benelux Contest Rules - Instagram Giveaway

 Article 1 - General 

 These contest rules (hereinafter referred to as the "Rules") contain the participation conditions for the "Skechers Benelux Instagram Giveaway" Contest (hereinafter: "Contest") , organized by: BV Skechers USA Benelux, with its registered office at Cartografenweg 14, NL-5141 MT WAALWIJK, the Netherlands, KVK number 18068748 and reachable at info.be_nl@skechers.com (hereinafter: "Skechers Benelux"). 

These Skechers Benelux Instagram Giveaway Rules can always be consulted on the website or via the link in the Instagram bio of Skechers Benelux. 

The Skechers Benelux Instagram Giveaway Contest runs in Belgium and the Netherlands.  

By participating in the Contest, you unconditionally accept the content of these Skechers Benelux Instagram Giveaway Rules and you also accept every decision Skechers Benelux makes in the context of the Contest. 

This Contest runs from June 2, 2026, up to and including June 1, 2026 (hereinafter: "Duration").  

Article 2 - Participants and Participation Conditions 

To participate, you must be at least 18 years old at the time of participation and must have your main residence in Belgium or the Netherlands throughout the entire Duration of the Skechers Benelux Instagram Giveaway Contest. 

The following persons may not participate:  

• Minors;   
• Personnel of Skechers Benelux who are directly involved in the design, development, organization, administration, and/or promotion of the Contest;   
• Personnel of partner companies who are directly or indirectly involved in the design, development, organization, administration, and/or promotion of the Contest;   
• Immediate family and/or relatives of the aforementioned personnel;   
• All persons domiciled at the same address as the aforementioned employees. 

Participants who do not comply with the rules included in these Rules will be immediately and automatically excluded from participation without prior warning. 

Article 3 - Contest Procedure 

The contest takes place exclusively online via the official Instagram channel of Skechers Benelux. To validly participate in the contest, the participant must cumulatively complete the following steps during the Duration: 

• Follow the @Skechers Benelux Instagram profile;   
• Like the official contest photo/post;    
• Answer the contest question and the tie-breaker question in the comments below the post.   

○ Contest Question (Main Question): "What is the name of the latest football pack launched?"

○ Tie-breaker Question: "Which city inspired the design of the Skechers Sunset Pack?".     

The winner is the participant who meets all participation conditions, has answered the main question correctly, and has come closest to the tie-breaker question. In the event of an absolute tie, the person who chronologically placed his or her comment first will be designated as the winner.  

Article 4 - Prizes 

Prizes:1 pair of football boots signed by a famous footballer, with a total estimated value of € 225.00. 

Conditions: 

• All prizes are personal, indivisible, non-transferable, and must be accepted as awarded.   
• There is no alternative Prize.  
• Prizes cannot be exchanged, transferred, or converted into cash.   
• Skechers Benelux reserves the right to replace an offered Prize with a similar Prize of the same value, if the prize described in article 4.1 is no longer available or can no longer be awarded.   
• The winner will be contacted within 30 days after the end of the contest via a personal message (Private Message) on Instagram regarding the request for address details for sending the Prize. If the winner does not respond in time (within the reasonable period indicated in the message) or cannot accept his or her Prize for any reason, the winner loses his right to the Prize, and a new winner (the next in the tie-breaker ranking) may be designated 
• Prizes are not cumulative. A participant can only win once. Winning a Prize within the context of this contest can be combined with other actions and benefits originating from Skechers Benelux. 
• Skechers Benelux may, at its own discretion, refuse to hand out a Prize or reclaim it if a Participant was not actually entitled to it according to these Rules or in case of violation(s) of these Rules, fraud, deceit, or other unlawful or inappropriate behavior by the Participant concerned. 

Damage: 

If a Prize appears to be defective or damaged upon delivery, the Winner must immediately contact Skechers Benelux and then return their Prize within 10 days of receipt to Skechers Benelux at the address specified in article 1 of these Rules. If the damage is due to Skechers Benelux or its partners, Skechers Benelux will replace the damaged Prize with the same or, if necessary, a similar Prize if the same Prize is no longer available. Skechers Benelux will in no case be liable for a refund and/or compensation in cash to the Winner. 

Article 5 - Disqualification, Suspension, or Cancellation 

• Any breach of these Contest Rules leads to the immediate exclusion of the

Participant.  

• Skechers Benelux can exclude a Participant in case of clear and reasonably justified suspicions of a breach of these Rules.  
• Any attempt at fraud, cheating, manipulation, abuse, or deceit will lead to immediate exclusion.  
• Skechers Benelux reserves the right to shorten, suspend, amend, or cancel the Contest in case of force majeure or for organizational, technical, or legal reasons. 

Article 6 - Costs 

• Participation in the contest is free. If a Participant for any reason whatsoever decides to incur costs for participation in the Contest or for receiving their Prize, all these costs are entirely borne by the Participant. In no case can the Participant reclaim such costs from Skechers.  
• The costs for shipping the won Prizes are borne by Skechers. 

Article 7 - Liability 

• Skechers and its partners are in no event liable for any suffered disadvantage or any damage whatsoever that a Participant suffers in the context of participation in the Contest. Skechers and its partners are also not liable for any printing, spelling, typesetting, or other errors, technical interruptions, malfunctions or defects, or other problems relating to the Contest, difficulties in accessing the websites, delays in the shipment of goods, postal strikes, lost shipments by post both from the Participant to Skechers and from Skechers to the Participant, or loss or damage of sent prizes, except for damage that is attributable to, and a direct result of, intent or gross negligence on the part of Skechers. 
• Skechers emphasizes that it is neither the organizer nor the party responsible for any events to which the prizes may relate. It cannot be held liable for any damage of any nature whatsoever incurred during these events, nor will it respond to complaints about them. 
• Skechers will make every effort to ensure that the Contest proceeds without technical and administrative problems. Should problems of any nature whatsoever arise, the Participant releases Skechers from all responsibility and the Participant also waives all forms of compensation.  
• If the Contest is terminated due to the behavior of one of the Participants, Skechers reserves the right to claim compensation for the damage suffered. 
• Skechers offers no guarantees regarding the usability or suitability of the Prize for any purpose whatsoever. Skechers or third parties involved by Skechers can under no circumstances be held liable for the use of the Prize, nor for the poor functioning and/or execution of the Prize, nor for any damage, whether direct or indirect, immediate or remote, caused by the Prize, or for any damage of whatever nature of a winner or any third party resulting from possible accidents with the prizes, even in the case of material damage, physical injuries, or death.  
• Skechers always attempts to deliver the Prize to the Winner within a reasonable period. However, BV cannot be held liable for a delay over which it has no control. 
• Outside the cases of serious or deliberate error (gross or intentional fault), Skechers, its personnel, or its partners cannot be held liable for any damage of any nature whatsoever that may arise as a result of participation in or the organization of the Contest and the allocation or non-allocation of the Prizes. 
• If force majeure or any other circumstances beyond its control require it, Skechers reserves the right to modify, postpone, shorten, or prematurely terminate the Contest or a part thereof without prior notice and without stating reasons, as well as to modify, postpone, shorten, or cancel the rules, prizes, and information related to the Contest (e.g., due to organizational, technical, or legal reasons). Communication about this will take place via info.be_nl@skechers.com. Skechers cannot be held liable for this. 
• In any case, the liability of Skechers will always be limited to the amount of the value of the won prize as specified in Article 4. 

Article 8 - Privacy and Data Protection (GDPR) 

• In the context of this contest, only the Instagram username of the participants and (for the final winner) the name and address details are processed. This data processing takes place in strict accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the principle of data minimization. 
• Skechers processes the Participant's personal data for the duration of the Contest based on the legal ground "performance of a contract". 
• The Participant also acknowledges that their name and/or image may be used in publicity if they are chosen as a winner, based on the Legitimate Interest of Skechers to do so, and therefore without explicit consent. The Participant is not entitled to compensation for the use of their name and/or image in this circumstance. 
• For the processing of personal data, Skechers relies on third parties as processors. These parties will process the personal data only in accordance with Skechers' instructions in this context. Skechers ensures that all processing of personal data complies with the applicable European privacy legislation. Personal data may be transferred to external service providers of Skechers, who are responsible for following up on the collection of the prize. 
• The personal data referred to includes the Participant's name, email address, and phone number, and possibly other data processed afterwards. These data are collected with the aim of ensuring the smooth running of the Contest, in particular the ability to contact the Participant regarding their participation, and to hand over the Prizes efficiently.  
• Only if the Participant explicitly indicates (opt-in) that Skechers or third parties may process their personal data for direct marketing purposes (including keeping them informed of offers or news regarding (the products of) Skechers), can Skechers send information about this to the Participant via the email address entered on the participation form after the end of the Contest. 
• The Participant can object to such use of their personal data and/or withdraw this consent at any time by sending an email to info.be_nl@skechers.com. 
• Every Participant has the right to access, modify, correct, or delete their data. This right can be exercised by sending an email to Skechers at info.be_nl@skechers.com with a copy of their identity card attached. If the Participant requests the complete or partial deletion of their data before the end of the Contest, so that Skechers can no longer contact them, their participation may be declared invalid and they may lose all right to any Prize. 
• For any question and/or information regarding the protection of personal data, the Participant can contact Skechers at info.be_nl@skechers.com. 
• The Participant guarantees that all personal data provided in the context of the Contest are correct, up-to-date, and complete. 

Article 9 - Practical Follow-up - Conflicts - Complaints 

• Every complaint regarding this Contest must be sent in writing by registered letter no later than 10 working days following the end of this Contest to Skechers Benelux.   
• The Participant undertakes, in the event of a discussion concerning the application or interpretation of these present Rules, to first seek an amicable solution in consultation with Skechers Benelux before initiating legal proceedings. 
• All decisions made by Skechers Benelux in the context of the Contest are final, irrevocable, and binding. These decisions are not open to appeal. 
• Complaints submitted outside the deadline or that are not drawn up in writing will not be handled. 
• These Rules and the conduct of the   contest itself are subject to Belgian law. 
• If one of the provisions of these Rules should be considered void or invalid, the other provisions of these Contest Rules remain fully applicable. 
• Participation in the Contest implies the full and unconditional acceptance by the Participant of these present Rules. 
• Nothing from or relating to this contest may be copied, reproduced, or published without the prior express written permission of Skechers Benelux.
